We spoke to one of the directors, Sandro Fanuli, in the days leading up to his arrival in Milan to let us in on what to expect!
“Since visiting for the first time in 1997, the 2024 edition of Salone del Mobile marks my 26th time attending Milan for the most important week in the design calendar. For us, Milan Design Week is more than just a chance to catch up on the latest ‘trends’- it serves as a way to reconnect with longstanding friends. It’s important for us to experience shared moments with the Australian design community and our suppliers, as it feels like bringing family together. These storied Italian companies are constantly innovating, working with world-leading designers to create pieces that are unique and built to last, making Salone del Mobile an incredible way to gain an insight into how the most influential brands in the design world are always moving forward.
This year, I will be joined by our most considerable attendance in Fanuli’s history. Seven of our team members will be on the ground, with both our Sydney & Melbourne contract teams alongside me to assist with hosting personal tours from Tuesday 16th through to Thursday 18th at the Rho Centre, plus our Marketing team to provide live updates on our social pages for those who are unable to attend. We’re very excited to be hosting our first ‘Aperitivo with Fanuli’ so we can welcome you to Milan in style, as we know how far you’ve travelled to be inspired. It’ll be a beautiful opportunity to meet if we haven’t already, to share a drink and to chat with our team before the madness of Design Week begins. Aperitivo with Fanuli
Together with our Italian brand partners and Belle editor Tanya Buchanan, join us for an informal evening in the heart of Milan while enjoying canapés and aperitivo. With plenty of excitement in the air before the formalities begin, it’ll be a great chance to be amongst peers in the Australian design community, as well as key figures from some of Italy’s iconic furniture houses.
